The stage was full of energy and interaction. After all that time off, Mac and Wild Kratts - Live were very committed to turning loose and they delivered in a big way. Suffice it to say that, we paid big money for those seats for some reason justifying it to ourselves in that this might be the last time he comes around. You could see in their face and hear in their voice that they have missed us as much as we have missed them. The sincerity was transparent. Had great seats. 13 rows back on the floor in the middle. My man is not going anywhere for some time after watching the enthusiasm displayed on the stage AND in the audience, and we are ALL winners if that is the case. FINS UP.
A Real, Live Rock Show
"The band played a song from almost every album. The crowd also heard there was no backing track, just a live band. It rained hard the whole show and the band was getting soaked with the high winds. Power shut down, twice. Billy especially took the weather and power in stride, he seemed genuine. The first 5 or so songs were old, and then they played most of the new album. The highlight was Space Odyssey by Bowie. They are in top form, dont miss this tour. The band sounds tight and represented the old material well. All else came off with perfection. Ava Adore rocked and Celestials rocked harder live. It was an outdoor venue, but mostly covered. The show was all heart. He ran through Bullet WBW in the first song of the encore, may be alittle tired of that one."
Wild Kratts - Live was unforgettable. I tried to see them in Des Moines, Iowa in the early 70's but got rained out two times and then couldn't get off work for the third make-up date. But the show last week was all I could have hoped for. The light show was a little much but I know that is to limit the camera flash and picture taking. I told my wife a month before the show I hoped they played La Grange and Jesus just left Chicago. BOTH songs were played and sounded GREAT. Lynyrd Skynyrd should be booked as a tribute band, they are NOT the same. They are riding Lynyrd Skynyrd fame. Wild Kratts - Live were AMAZING. Shirt prices were a little STEEP, but I know that isn't the band's doing.
Supposed to start at 7, but....
After the show started at 8:40, the doors didn't open until a little after 7, leaving thousands of people standing in long lines wrapped around blocks and onto the light rail system waiting to get in. Wild Kratts - Live didn't hit the stage until 9:20 pm. Plastic cup boyz were aiight! Kevin Hart IS a funny little dude, but NOT as funny as in previous shows. Kevin stayed on stage for 65 minutes. Seems he was "reaching" for laughs alot. First red cup boy didn't know where he was. He came on stage and said CHARLESTON! MAKE SOME NOISE! (...and got booed). Even addressed a dude in the crowd for not laughing at his joke. They kept saying it was sold out, but there were several groups of empty seats in the lower sections across from us. We checked ticketmaster's site from our phones while standing in line and tickets were still available.
